Benjamin Cowell, L.C.S.W.
Benjamin Cowell is a Licensed Social worker. He received his Master's degree in Social Work from the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago. Benjamin has previous experience working in community behavioral health and hospital settings, providing individual outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services. He works with children, adolescents, and adults utilizing evidenced based treatments grounded in cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, ACT interventions, and DBT skills. Benjamin is committed to identifying and implementing an individualized approach for each client to support them in achieving their therapeutic goals. He has experience working with a wide variety of disorders and with severe mental illness. Benjamin's specialties include working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQ+ individuals. In therapy, he enjoys collaborating with clients to strengthen their insight, identify their goals, and create concrete action plans to facilitate change.
